THE WRESTLER

Extremely well made yet sad movie. A very, very well made commentary on wrestling, recovery, remission and loneliness all put into one very good movie.

Mickey Rourke is all that and then as Randy “The Ram” Robinson. How did he not win the Oscar for best actor? His character is amazing and no “high level” actor could have come close to pulling off what he did. In fact, if someone like a Nicholas Cage did end up playing the role the film would not have been nearly as good as it was.

Definitely an adult film (and I have some issues with that) so not something for the younger audience to be watching.

Amazing film. Just amazing!
