2008 MLB SEASON

So if the Major League Baseball season started and virtually no one in America was able to watch it, does that mean that season actually started? I mean, baseball is America's national past time right?

Anyway, here's my thoughts on the upcoming season --

AL EAST
1) Boston Red Sox
2) NY Yankees
3) Toronto Blue Jays
4) TB Rays
5) Baltimore O's

AL CENTRAL
1) Detroit Tigers
2) Cleveland Indians
3) Chicago White Sox
4) Minnesota Twins
5) KC Royals

AL WEST
1) LA Angels
2) Seattle Mariners
3) Oakland A's
4) Texas Rangers

NL EAST
1) NY Mets
2) Philadelphia Phillies
3) Atlanta Braves
4) Florida Marlins
5) Washington Nationals

NL CENTRAL
1) Chicago Cubs
2) Milwaukee Brewers
3) St. Louis Cardinals
4) Cincinatti Reds
5) Houston Astros
6) Pittsburgh Pirates

NL WEST
1) LA Dodgers
2) SD Padres
3) Arizona D'Backs
4) Colorado Rockies
5) SF Giants

Wild Cards Winners -- Cleveland, San Diego

ALCS -- Boston over Detroit
NLCS -- Los Angeles over New York

World Series -- Boston over Los Angeles

Plus a few random notes --
Worst Team - Either Baltimore, KC or Washington
Best Division - NL West or AL Central
Worst Division - NL Central (very, very bad teams)

AL MVP - Miguel Cabrera
NL MVP - David Wright

AL CY YOUNG - Justin Verlander
NL CY YOUNG - Jake Peavy

  • I resent St. Louis' position on your list. :)

Also, KC at 5th place??? Is there a LOWER spot they could be. I mean come on...last year they were excited because they broke their losing record. Their games are SO pitiful. :) Gosh I miss KC!
