In honor of the start of Spring Training and with opening day just 40 or so days away, my salute to the:

Best Part of Being a Baseball Fan ...

1) The Strategy

There is always a "game within the game" each and every night. While baseball is certainly played at a slower pace then football, hockey, etc. but there is so much thinking going on each pitch

2) Summer Time

If there is anything better than sitting in the stand during the third inning eating a hot dog, while popping peanuts in the summer I haven't found it.

3) The Playoffs

Sure I'm a spoiled Yankees fan but October is awesome

4) "Water Cooler Discussion"

Since baseball always has second guessing, there's something fun about chatting over highlights and decisions from the night before

5) Trade Deadline

Every July 31st brings about some fun intrigue ... Especially as a Yankees fan!
