GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS

So last night the annual Golden Globe Awards were held. Didn't really watch a whole lot but it's always intriguing to look at some of the "more important" categories.

Best Director (Movie, Drama) - Ang Lee for "Brokenback Mountain", this is the first of many disappointments for Peter Jackson's "King Kong." and Steven Speilburg's "Munich." Not to mention the first of many awards for "Brokenback Mountain."

Best Actress (TV, Drama) - Genna Davis for her role as the President in "Commander in Chief." Glad to see this show gets some much deserved credit.

Best Actress (TV, Musical/Comedy) - The real surprise here is that four actresses from "Desperate Housewives" were nominated and the fifth person, Mary-Louise Parker actually won.
