NELSON MANDELA

Time Magazine really knocked one out of the park. In the current issue there is an incredible article on Nelson Mandela and his eight leadership principals. Complete Article

Granted I think the leadership characteristic often times takes up more focus than, say, the gifts of grace, mercy, serving, encouragement, etc., etc. However, this is one really good article. Plus Nelson Mandela has definitely earned the right to be heard on this and any other topic. Even if you don't have the leadership gift, there is still so much an individual can take away from this article.

Nelson Mandela's Eight Leadership Principals
1) Courage is not the absence of fear - it's inspiring others to move beyond it
2) Lead from the front - but don't leave your base behind
3) Lead from the back - and let others believe they are in the front
4) Know your enemy - and learn about their favorite sport
5) Keep your friends close - and your rivals even closer
6) Appearance matters - and remember to smile
7) Nothing is black and white
8) Quitting is leading
