NO MORE HAWKING TICKETS!!!

Ever since Stephen Hawking tickets went on-sale my life has been at a blogging stand still. I use my work computer as my only computer access and I have had next to zero time to update. Here’s what has been happening in my world since Feb. 4, 2008

Feb. 6 – Saw Frost/Nixon … Great Movie!

Feb. 7 – Parents Visited … Free Cheesecake Factory!

Feb. 14 – Drove about 100 miles of the PCH … Nice Sunset!

Feb. 16 – Finished Angels & Demons … Da Vinci Code is better.

Feb. 18 - Paid off my credit card!

Feb. 25 – No more Hawking tickets to sell! (Thank the Good Lord!)

HAWKING & TICKETS

Years ago the Simpsons had this one moment in an episode were they spoofed on Stephen Hawking. According to “rumors” he is the smarted man in the world and I remember getting a huge laugh at how the Simpson parodied Hawking.

The laugh is on me now. Hawking is coming to Pasadena and guess what ticket office is in charge of tickets? Yep, the Caltech ticket office. My work life has been consumed with this event. The lesson to be learned in all of this? Be careful who you laugh at. And how hard you life!

I promise more blogging later …

THE BIBLE & KARMA

Do you ever wonder if the Bible actually speaks about Karma?

And by Karma I mean the current definition of the word. Good things come back to you when you do good thing. Bad things will happen to you when you do bad thing. I’m not debating the meaning of good things or bad things. Role with this line of thought from a particular story.

In the book of Numbers Moses is talking to the Reubenites and Gadites who don’t want to cross the Jordan River and they want to inherit the land. Moses says they can inherit the land if they follow certain requirement God sets forth. Moses tells them they better do what God says:

"But if you fail to do this, you will be sinning against the LORD; and you may be sure that your sin will find you out.” – Numbers 23:32

So if you believe in Karma then don’t you essentially believe in the teachings of the Bible? It would seem in this particular instance there is some sort of correlation. Maybe Karma just kind started from Biblical teachings and “evolved” from there.
